It's been ages since I've even visited LJ, let alone posted some thing.
So I just had to give one of my Malamutts a bath, cause she dug up some fish guts outa my moms garden and rolled in them, it was allmost more than I could handle. She seemed to be quite pleased with herself though :p
Work sucks, not much new there.........atlest I havn't got laid off.
The remodeling I have been doing on my house has ground to a screeching halt, money has been really tight. It seems like I may never get it finished now, building permits will probably expire before its gets done.
Aaaaaand it's late, wasn't that just loads of Fun? Thanks fur reading! |

Hi every one! Ok, so I have finally decided switch my fursona from Lil Red the Siberian Husky to Zinnthra Starbrook the River Otter :)
Most of you here probably only know me as Zinnthra, but for those of you who know me as Lil Red, I want to assure you that I am not just going to kick him to the curb. Red is still a large portion of who I am and will always be, it's just that lately I seem to share more qualities with otters than I do with Huskies.

Well once again it's been several weeks since my last post, so much for keeping this thing up to date. A lot has happend durring that time though.
I think I barely managed to fix the problem with my state taxes, which basically involved lots and lots of extra work to come up with the money that was originally supposed to have been taken out of my paychecks but was not.
All Fur Fun 08' has come and went, in what seemed to be just a brief flash of joy in my other wise annoyingly stressful life.
Winter has FINALLY subsided in my neck of the woods, while it is still cold enough to freeze at night, the days have been pleasantly nice enough for me to get out a bit after work and rough house with my wonderfull doggies Shilo and Dakota.
Very soon I hope to start riding my motorcycle around again, I've seen so many bikes out on the roads recently, it makes me sick thinking that I could be out riding too. |

Well here it is the weekend after FC. I haven't had a chance to begin to wind down from the con yet and it doesn't look like I will get much rest now either, since I kinda left my house in a state of chaos. So I have been cleaning all morning :P
As far as FC goes I had a F-ing Great time!! I was very uncertain about how much fun I would have there but it turned out awesome! I especially liked running around in my fursuit, Shock Tart!! It scared me the first time out, but I got over it really quickly, I found I had a lot more confidence after a few outings. I am so totally screwed now, I am addicted to Fur suiting now, I have like 5 ideas for suits that I am going to make or have made, depending on finances and time of course.
I am quite sure it would have been entirely different had I gone by my self but since I had the company of some very good furiends there I was able to have an even better time! Thanks to teekachu srfoxley rmoorcat tolemur for being such good furiends, you guys ROCK!! :) Especially mommy Teeka for helping get Shock Tart in to costume, couldn't have done it with out you *HUGS* |

I have been kinda keeping my going to FC a secret now for a couple months, just to make damned sure I can even do it. Well I really don't have the money to make such a trip, but I am going any way!! I will have to rely mainly on my credit card to make the trip, but I don't care at this point! I need to take some time off and escape from reality or I might do something stupid.

I dislike my job with a passion! I work as a Field Mechanic for a logging company, which means I service and repair heavy equipment while it is out in the woods. I put in 62hrs. in 5 days at work this week, normally I wouldn't complain about it (22hrs of over time pay is cool) but my patience is nearing the breaking point!
My current wage is $13per hour, nearly $3 below the national average "Starting Wage" for a Field Mechanic (I started working for $11 an hour 1year and 8months ago). Even at the $13hr. wage with all the over time I am still bearly able to keep up with all my bills. I currently don't receive any Medical, Vision or Dental coverage from my employer.
I own all the tools that are on my company shop truck, I am not allowed to take the truck home to use my tools, supposedly due to the high fuel costs but the other three mechanics are allowed to take their shop trucks home!! WTF!! If I need to use my tools I have to take them off the truck.
The company is so dead set against spending money to repair the equipment properly, that time and time again I have watched a simple repair that would have cost $500 to fix and 1 days down time, turn into a $5,000 repair and 10 days down time! As long as I can remember, I have been taught to do things right the first time, this is some thing they can't seem to understand. On far to many occasions, I have been instructed to "Just get it going again" which has resulted in me having to babysit some piece of equipment all day long to keep it working, with out exploding into a useless mass of iron and steel.
If I happen to make it 2 years with this rinky outfit I will be amazed and probably none to happy about it. My search for better employment continues. |

I don't even know where to begin. I Hate My Life!! Since my last post things have only gone from bad to worse, I recently recieved the bill for the medical testing I had to have done a few weeks ago, for the sum of $200 on top of the 2 office visits and the medication I was prescribed and a weeks worth of lost pay, the grand total for every thing is now up to just over $1000! Here it is the begining of the month and I have had to pay bills:( Yea you geussed it I don't have enough money to pay them all, I am nearly $300 short! fortunatly I was able to beg my parents to lend me the money but they could only cover my bills so I still have no money for food or gas for the next 2 weeks.
On top of the no money thing I have had it with my present employer, the guy is a total F@#*ing Prick. Nearly a week and a half after I was sick he thought for some reason he needed an explanation why I was off work for a week, even though I called my supervisor and told him why I wouldn't be at work, the boss thinks I should have called him and told him about the situation. WTF does he care! I did what I was supposed to do! He then decided that I needed to get a doctors note to provide proof of where I was, which I got faxed to the shop the same day and when I gave it to him he read it and threw it away! didn't say another word to me! I hate that Prick!! Not to mention the sickeningly low pay, 12 hrs. a day 5 days a week, no medical, no dental and no vision insurance, I have had my fill of this shit job and will be looking for something better, starting NOW!
I am far to mad at the moment to continue this further, maybe at a later date. |

Well here is a recap of the last several weeks, as best as my memory will allow. Some of you may have known I haven't been feeling very well for quite some time, weekly fevers, severe head aches and muscle aches. Not wanting to visit a doctor cause I didn't have the money to do so, I just put up with the crap but it finally caught up with me.
I woke up on the 16th feeling incredibly ill with a mild temperature so I went to the doc finally, when I got there I had a temp of 102 deg. they did a bunch of tests and told me they would call with the results. Tried to drive home, but couldn't keep the truck on the road, so I went to my parents house (20 min. drive vs. 1.5 hr drive)when I got there my temp had jumped to 108 deg. and stayed there from about 4:00pm on the 16th to around 11:00pm on the 17th.
Since I wasn't able to drive I had my little brother go pick up my 2 puppies along with their 2 litter mates and their mother from my house (which belongs to a friend of mine which I have been taking care of for around the last three months). Some time during the 18th the mother escaped the enclosure she was in and went across the street to chase the neighbors horses, with the pups in tow. This caused the neighbors to call the sheriff, so they could find the owner of the dogs, to which they came to me. Of course I didn't know they were out of the pen when the sheriff showed up. I admitted to owning the dogs which meant the sheriff then had to bitch me out for not having them penned up and threatened to have them destroyed if it happened again. I then had to go out in the rain and round up the dogs from the neighbors field, still feeling very ill and weak from not eating any thing for the last 48+ hours.
That episode with the dogs was the final straw and I decided to return the mother to her owner, at the end of the week. Later that evening I had to go back to the doctor for more test, cause they still didn't know what was wrong with me. Around noon of the 19th the doc finally called and told me I had a viral prostate infection which was causing all my illness but wasn't able to tell me what caused it, he then gave me a prescription to help fix it to the tune of just over $300 for the tests and drugs, plus the loss of a weeks worth of wages around $600.
The end of the week the 20th was now at hand, I finally got help to take down the kennel at my house so it could be returned with the dog. It was getting pretty late when I got down to my friends house to return the dog and kennel, which pretty much pissed my friend off and he never even came out of the house, his mate came out and helped unload it but wasn't happy about it at all. I then decided to go out hunting on the 21st, which was a bad idea I felt like hell the next day. I had to put up a new kennel type thing by my self that day to keep my puppies and the other two pups in, which didn't help me to feel any better.
I had to work the next week on top of it all, due to my taking the previous week off work the mechanic shop I work for had fallen severely behind, so I had to work 12 hours a days mon-thurs, 14 hours on friday and 6 hours today. I am totally tired now, but at least the drugs I have been taking seem to be knocking out the infection.
So I have had it for now! |
